Local:
Strontium Hydroxide is a clear deliquescent crystals that absorb carbon dioxide from air to form carbonate. It is soluble in hot water and acids, melts at 375 C (anhydrous), loses part of its water at ca. 100 C (octahydrate). It is used in refinery of beet sugar. It is used as a stabilizer in plastic. It is also used to make other strontium compounds.
